BBC 1 TEEN AWARDS BOOKED
8/22/16

New Capitol/Virgin EMI signing Shawn Mendes, Joe JonasDNCE (who go through Island in Blighty) and SYCO’s Little Mix will perform at BBC Radio 1’s Teen Awards on 10/23 in London.

Also booked to set many a young heart a flutter at the 12.5k capacity SSE Arena, Wembley, are Virgin EMI boy band The Vamps and Atlantic U.K. breakthrough star Jess Glynne.

Now in its seventh year, the event honours the U.K.’s unsung teenage heroes, as well as the best music, online, sport and entertainment talent.

More than 9k 14- to 17-year-olds will attend the ceremony, which Radio 1’s breakfast man Nick Grimshaw will host. The Beeb’s youth station will broadcast it live and online.

One Direction were the biggest victors last year with two awards, while Ed Sheeran was named Best British Artist for the second year running.
