BBC RADIO 2 FEST RETURNS FOR 50TH
6/7/17

Take That, Blondie, James Blunt, Emeli Sande, Stereophonics and, for her first appearance in Blighty in 13 years, Shania Twain, will perform at the 50th edition of BBC Radio 2's annual festival in London's Hyde Park on 9/10.

The event will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 2.

The radio station is the most listened-to in the U.K. and has a weekly audience of 15.14m, according to Q2 2017 Rajar figures. Tickets for the 45k-capacity show go on sale Thursday, and fans can also watch the action live online.

“In this our 50th year we welcome an incredible line-up of world class artists and musicians who showcase the breadth of music played across BBC Radio 2,” said Jeff Smith, Head of Music for Radio 2. “Take That will be joined by two other acts also celebrating special anniversaries this year namely Stereophonics and Rick Astley plus we’re thrilled to be welcoming country music royalty, Shania Twain, for a rare U.K. appearance.”
