CROSSOVER
THE BALLSTREET JOURNAL

Republic's Drake dropped some good news to his millions of fans over the weekend, saying he will be releasing a new album in December. That's just what Gary Spangler, Davey Dee and Stef Cole need, more market share and #1 records. There are a few new tracks floating around already, but no word on what will be the "official" first single. The Weeknd f/Daft Punk’s "Starboy" (XO) is #2 on the printed chart, but already #1 on the building chart for the week. It was up another 900 spins. Ariana Grande f/Nicki Minaj’s "Side To Side" moves 19-16, gaining 295 spins. Amine’s "Caroline" makes it's way inside the top 25 this week, thanks to a 340-spin increase. Post Malone f/Justin Bieber’s "Deja Vu" lands at #32, up 85 spins. Belly’s "Ballerina" and Justine Skye f/Wizkid’s "U Don't Know" are both building each week.

Columbia's Ayelet Schiffman and James White continue to grow The Chainsmokers f/Halsey’s "Closer" (Disruptor). It moves up to #3, gaining 270 spins. Russ’ "What They Want" enters the top 15, up 95 spins. They debut John Legend’s "Love Me Now" at #34. It had a 255-spin increase.

Epic and Sujit Kundu are one week away from seeing DJ Khaled f/Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown’s "Do You Mind" (We The Best) enter the Top 5. It comes in at #6 this week, gaining 175 spins. Young Thug & Travis $cott’s "Pick Up The Phone" (Grand Hustle) comes in at #20, adding 130 spins. Jidenna’s "Long Live The Chief" is up 85 spins, which puts it at #66. Kent Jones’ "Alright" is also still developing, and is at #74. Zara Larsson’s “Ain’t My Fault” (TEN) is also making its way up the chart. Make sure you check out the remix which features Lil Yachty.

Def Jam’s Rick Sackheim, Noah Sheer and Scott Maness have their hands full with Kanye West’s “Fade” (G.O.O.D.). It was up 370 spins, and moves inside the Top 20. Rihanna’s “Love On The Brain” (Westbury Road/Roc Nation) was also up 370 spins, good enough to land it at #29. They are impacting 2 Chainz f/Drake’s “Big Amount” this week.

RCA’s Inca and Lori G see Rob $tone f/J Davi$ & Spooks “Chill Bill” gain another 200 spins, as it climbs to #26. Usher f/Future’s “Rivals” just misses debuting this week, coming in at #41. It is on the building chart at #39. Sia f/Kendrick Lamar’s “The Greatest” (Monkey Puzzle) also continues to grow. It was up triple digits.

Dixie Tipton and Capitol Records have Lil Yachty’s “1 Night” (QC/Motown) still sailing at full mast. It was up 170 spins, and is now inside the Top 25.

Lee L’Heureux and Warner Bros. impacted Partynextdoor “Not Nice” (OVO) just last week, and it is already at #48. It is up 225 spins, and looks to have a bigger increase this week.
