CAMPERS LEARN ROPES AT ACM LIFTING LIVES CAMP
6/26/17

The first five days of the ACM Lifting Lives Music Camp, a residential program open to participants around the U.S. with Williams syndrome, has been a rousing success.

Highlights so far have included a songwriting session with two-time ACM Awards co-host Dierks Bentley and songwriter/producer Ross Cooperman, in which the campers composed an original tune, “I Love Big,” based on the their own inspirations and experiences; Nationally syndicated radio host Bobby Bones did an on-air Q & A from Monroll Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilit; and Curb Records recording artist Jerrod Neimann performed and joined a karaoke event at Winner’s Bar & Grill.

The camp, which ends 6/28, is a partnership between ACM Lifting Lives and Vanderbilt Kennedy Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities and helps researchers study Williams syndrome while offering musical enrichment. Check out more information on ACM Lifting Lives here.
