10/23/18

“Let’s just hurry up and take this picture so I can Uber back to LAX,” says award-winning author and music journalist Holly Gleason at the conclusion of the Academy of Country Music-sponsored event “The Palomino Rides Again,” a one-day reopening of the historic San Fernando Valley venue to benefit Valley Relics Museum. “If those HITS idiots find out I’m in town, they’re gonna try to make me come and visit the office, and it’s gonna turn into a whole fuckin’ thing.” Later, everyone wondered if the mold-infested carpets from HITS’ former offices in Sherman Oaks and Universal City would be the subjects of a special exhibition at the Museum. Seen recalling that time Simon Glickman drank 14 rum & cokes at a Blazers show are (l-r) Gleason, Jim Lauderdale, Academy of Country Music SVP Creative & Content Lisa Lee, Valley Relics Museum founder Tommy Gelinas and ACM SVP Marketing Brooke Primero.
