ALLISON SMITH JOINS BIG MACHINE/JOHN VARVATOS
1/7/19

Big Machine/John Varvatos Records has announced that Allison Smith has joined as National Director, Promotion. The rock label—spearheaded by BMLG President/CEO Scott Borchetta and fashion mogul John Varvatos—catapulted 2018 breakthroughs Badflower to the top of the rock charts in its inaugural year.

Based in Chicago, Smith previously spent 13 years at Virgin/Capitol as a Midwest Regional Director of Promotion. She also held stints at Lava and London-Sire.

“Allison is the perfect addition to the Big Machine/John Varvatos Records team as we build upon the success of Badflower, Pretty Vicious and the soon-to-be launched Friday Pilots Club,” said BMLG Chief Marketing Officer Mike Rittberg.

“We are thrilled to welcome Allison Smith to our team. Allison’s radio promotion expertise and her passion for artist development will further our growth and success as we move into the next chapter,” added SVP of Promotion Heather Luke.
