The Safe Haven Family Shelter has welcomed a new board member for 2019 as Warner Music Nashville’s SVP of artist development, Shane Tarleton, joins the premier organization in Middle Tennessee that serves families experiencing homelessness. Tarleton has been involved in the nonprofit community for a number of years, contributing over ten years of service to Musicians On Call, volunteering to run programs at Alive Hospice and Vanderbilt Childrens Hospital, as well as working with Hearts2Honduras to create and finance an education program for children at Copprome Orphanage in El Progreso, Honduras.

“Shane’s vast experience as a creative director in the music industry coupled with his longtime passion for helping nonprofit organizations sustain success will bring a new energy and perspective to the board,” says Joyce Lavery, CEO of Safe Haven Family Shelter. Tarleton adds, “Safe Haven helps families to get back on their feet and provides career and educational counsel all while keeping the family unit together. I look forward to collaborating with my fellow board members as we navigate our city’s future.”

As WMN's SVP of artist development, Tarleton oversees marketing, brand sponsorship, digital interactive and creative services for their entire roster of artists, including Blake Shelton, Dan + Shay, Ashley McBryde and more. Prior to joining WMN as creative director in 2010, Tarleton produced events for MGM properties in Las Vegas and spent six years at RCA’s art department working on imaging and branding for country artists like Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley and Martina McBride.
