SHAWN MENDES
HITS A DOUBLE

“In My Blood" and "Lost in Japan," the two brand-new singles from Island’s Shawn Mendes, have zoomed to the #1 and #2 spots, respectively, on the iTunes songs chart. "Blood" dropped Wed. (3/21) and "Japan" on Thurs. (3/22). The two songs offer the first taste from the 19-year-old star’s third album, deets TBA.

"Just wanted to write this note before the song comes out tonight and say how excited I am for you all to hear it," Mendes teased in a tweet that accompanied the release of "Blood." "I know I’ve been pretty quiet during this album process and I just wanted to thank you with all of my heart for being there and supporting me the entire time. This song is the closest song to my heart that I’ve ever written and I hope you guys love it and all the new music coming your way. I love and appreciate you all so much!!!"

Mendes spoke about the single and album project with Zane Lowe on Beats 1. David Massey and Eric Wong, meanwhile, are planning a big luau on the Island.
