CHART STORY: POST
IS THE MOST

It’s official. Republic’s Post Malone has landed in the #1 spot on HITSTop 50 Chart, marking the biggest bow of the year so far as he moves more than 470k with sophomore set beerbongs & bentleys. His RTD (including the singles that dominated streaming platforms prior to the album's drop) looks to be close to 1.4m. And in tandem with this achievement, his late-2016 breakout, Stoney, returns to the Top 10 (#9, 29k).

The rapper can also celebrate having the biggest single-week album streams ever, as his number (around 440m) soars past the 385m earned by previous record-holder and labelmate Drake. After Drake, the closest competition comes from TDE/Aftermath/Interscope’s Kendrick Lamar (340m) and Dreamville/Roc Nation/Interscope’s J. Cole (323m).

The second-largest debut on this week’s chart can be found at #2, as Keith Urban’s Graffiti U (Capitol Nashville) makes a splashy entrance with 143k. Meanwhile, Janelle Monae’s Dirty Computer (Bad Boy) reaches #6, pulling in 55k. YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s Until Death Call My Name (Never Broke Again/Atlantic) is #7 with nearly 49k, and Godsmack’s When Legends Rise (BMG) follows at #8 with 43k. There’s also Willie Nelson’s Last Man Standing (Sony Legacy), which rakes in 26k—enough to appear at #12.

As for noteworthy moves, SYCO/Epic’s Camila Cabello, who recently released a remix of current single “Never Be the Same” featuring Kane Brown, hops back into the Top 20. ScumGang/TenThousand’s 6ix9ine rises #39-26, following the drop of his “Gotti” music video, which has earned more than 52m views in two weeks.

When it comes to overall marketshare, UMG is once again #1 with 69%, WMG follows with 21% and SME is #3 with 10%.

Streeting this week are projects by Eardruma/Interscope’s Rae Sremmurd, Atlantic’s Shinedown and Columbia’s Leon Bridges.

In other news, at the weekly White House poker game, Rudy Giuliani casually mentioned that he had a pair of twos
after going all in.
