BBC INTRODUCES LIVE '18

BBC Music has launched a new three-day festival aimed at discovering and nurturing new talent called BBC Music Introducing LIVE ’18. The event, which takes place from 11/8-10, will welcome 15,000 budding musicians and industry talent to London’s Tobacco Dock.

Following on from 2017’s BBC Music Introducing Amplify, this year’s event will feature a program of performances, talks and masterclasses with over 250 speakers from the music industry.

BBC Radio will broadcast live from Tobacco Dock throughout the three days, ahead of live concerts each evening featuring high-profile alumni from the Beeb’s new talent discovery and support arm, Introducing.

The festival will be produced by Get On Vision, a joint venture between Vision Nine and Get On Music Media, which is headed by former BBC Introducing Chief Jason Carter.

“Last year’s Amplify event captured the essence of BBC Music Introducing, which has done so much for undiscovered and unsigned musicians over the past 10 years,” said UMG U.K. boss David Joseph. “We were proud to support several masterclasses for the next generation of artists and executives at Amplify and look forward to doing so again at November’s expanded event.”

James Stirling, Head of Content, BBC Music added, “BBC Music Introducing LIVE will be a unique event, drawing on the passion and experience of the entire U.K. music industry and providing unrivaled access for those aspiring to make their way in to the business.”
