FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES AND APPLE MUSIC

Carrie Underwood’s first album under her new UMG deal is sitting pretty on this flipover Friday as Universal has commandeered the top five slots at iTunes with everything from Eminem to Tony Bennett.

Underwood’s Cry Pretty (Capitol Nashville) sits at #1 on the iTunes album chart followed by the second album from Schoolboy/Capitol’s Tori Kelly, Hiding Places, at #3.

6LACK East Atlanta Love Letter (LVRN/Interscope) is #4 at iTunes and at Apple Music as well, making it the top new title at the streaming service.

Bennett, who hit #1 in partnership with Lady Gaga, teams with Diana Krall on a collection of Gershwin tunes, Our Love is Here to Stay (Verve), popping in at #5.

Palms, the 10th album from the reunited Thrice (Epitaph), is #6 as the sixth album from Christian metal act Fit for a King, Dark Skies (Solid State), dawns at #9. Upchurch’s Supernatural (Redneck Nation), which was released Tuesday, is #8.

Sitting just outside the Top 10 are new releases from Willie Nelson, Good Charlotte, David Nail and the Well Ravens and David Guetta.

Among songs, Mariah Carey’s “GTFO” (Epic) sits at #2 at iTunes,Kris Wu f/Jhene Aiko’s “Freedom” (Ace Unit/Interscope) is #6, Lana Del Rey’s Mariners Apartment Complex” (Interscope) is #7 and the Dolly Parton-Sia collab "Here I Am" (RCA) is #8. Over at Apple Music, Lil Baby & Gunna’s “Drip Too Hard,” a Wednesday release from Quality Control/YSL/Motown/Capitol, is #5.
