COLUMBIA'S TOP TWO

Ron Perry's Columbia currently has the top two albums on the iTunes chart with Solange's When I Get Home and Hozier's Wasteland, Baby!

Incredible chatter and press pickup worldwide surrounded Solange, whose set was trending #1 WW, #1 Canada, #2 Australia, France and Brasil, and #5 U.K. at press time. She secured major Apple coverage globally, as the album charted Top 10 at iTunes in 15+ markets, including Netherlands (#2), France (#3), U.K. (#4) and Canada (#5). The two main singles have secured 31 New Music Fridays so far; “Stay Flo” was featured in 17, with 10 in Top 10 placement. She also saw immediate adds at Indie and R&B playlists. Of course, Solange also nabbed the cover of the U.S. NMF.

An array of events accompany the 14-song sophomore set from Irish troubadour Hozier, including a YouTube livestream wingding in NYC with a fan Q&A and live performance, viewable here. Hozier's tour kicks off on 3/10 in Buffalo, N.Y., with many dates already sold out. He'll also be part of Bonnaroo, among other festivals, and will hold a five-night residency at NYC's Hammerstein Ballroom on November. The set hit #1 at iTunes Australia and #2 Canada shortly after release, while song “To Noise Making” was placed at #11 on New Music Friday Canada and #24 Australia.

Ron, meanwhile, will be leading a round of office karaoke spotlighting all his releases.
