CAA PROMOTES 21

CAA has announced the promotion of 21 trainees to agent/executive. As you know, that promotion ceremony takes place under a full moon and involves ancient Sumerian incantations and the ritual sacrifice of an iPhone 8. Stay tuned for more schtick that has not been vetted by CAA.

OK, let’s get to it. Barry Buren, Carly Fromm, Nikki Goldfarb, Ilana Goren, Jacob Schiff and Jiah Shin have all been ordained as Agents in CAA’s L.A.-based TV division.

Five newly minted agents will do their thing in the Touring division. Akin Aliu (L.A.) and Lizzie Holdforth (London) have been made agents in Music Touring, while Olivia Farrell (NYC) and Guy Howes (London) have been upped in Music Brand Partnerships. Ethan Kurtzman has been made an Agent in Comedy Touring, based in NYC. He will be providing his own joke.

Lyne Murrow and Harrison Waterstreet have been anointed in In Motion Pictures Talent, and Natan Bogin in Media Finance. Berni Barta (who’s based in L.A., as are Murrow, Waterstreet and Bogin) has been promoted to Agent in the Books department; look for the dazzling audio version of Barta’s announcement as read, archly, by Jeff Goldblum.

Maddi Mobley (NYC) has been tapped as Executive in Brand Consulting; Alexandra Wakefield is upped to Executive in Sports’ Golf Consulting group (based in Jacksonville), where she will duck calls from Lenny Beer asking for help with his backswing. Sam Rose (NYC) ascends to Agent in the Basketball department and Cavan Walsh (Chicago) becomes an Agent in the Coaches department.

Kip Ludwig (NYC) receives Agent stripes in Speakers, while Scott Zanghellini (L.A.) is now an Agent in Commercial Endorsements. They do not endorse us.
