MARKS MAKES HIS MARK AT L.A. TIMES

Veteran music journalist Craig Marks has been named the new Music Editor over at the Los Angeles Times. He officially starts 4/8, replacing Todd Martens, who's held the post since 2016 and will become a critic covering games and immersive entertainment. Marks will report to Julia Turner, deputy managing editor responsible for Arts and Entertainment coverage.

Once an Executive Editor at The Bible, as well as Editor in Chief at Spin and Blender magazines, Marks previously made waves as Co-Founder and Editor in Chief of Popdust. Most recently, he served as Editorial Director for Townsquare Media—a radio company that owns and operates several music websites.

Marks’ presence instantly restores credibility to the paper’s music coverage, which has been wanting since the forced departure of Robert Hilburn in 2005.
