Opening day! Nothing says spring as loudly as the crack of a baseball bat. MLB is back, and other than the opening weekend of college football, nothing excites me more. In offices everywhere this week people watched opening day ceremonies and there were a few lucky executives that ditched out of the office to head to the stadiums. Bring it on! Right now, everyone is in the running for a World Series title.

RCA’s Ricitelli, JR, Daddio & Cooper have four tracks moving up the chart with Martin Garrix & Dua Lipa’s “Scared to be Lonely” leading the charge. It’s set to join the Top 25 pulling in 10 new adds last week, among them Z100, Y100 and KCHZ. Stargate f/P!nk & Sia’s “Waterfall” also pulled in 10 new adds last week and there are strong early Shazam numbers in New York, San Diego and Nashville. ZAYN f/PARTYNEXTDOOR’s “Still Got Time” was Most Added at Pop pulling in 90+ adds out of the box and has already charted. Snakehips & Mo’s “Don’t Leave” has also charted and is breaking out of WBMP, HITS1, KIIS and WKTU.

Caroline’s Saturn, Halpern & Holman are impacting the new Hey Violet “Break My Heart” (5Mode). With a sold-out headlining tour underway, this one is off to the races; early supporters include WKSC, WIOQ, KDWB & WRVW. Watch for it in the Most Added category.

Hollywood’s Finck, Smith & Ennis are impacting Olivia Holt’s “History” this week— there are 49m Spotify streams already and early airplay is on the board from KIIS and KVIL. Olivia is the star of Marvel’s new show Cloak and Dagger. There are 15 early adds on Bea Miller’s “Song Like You,” kicking off with KDIS and WRVW. Sabrina Carpenter’s “Thumbs” is now Top 30 with 110+ stations on board and Top 5 RTM female callout. Ocean Park Standoff’s “Good News” has pulled in WITH, WZFT and WWMX already and is looking to chart soon.

Warner Bros.Gray, Dyer, Reich & Shih have Linkin Park f/Kiiara’s “Heavy” climbing inside the Top 20, securing three new stations last week—KCHZ, WNOW and WFHN—along with 12 rotation increases at stations such as HITS1, KXXM and KUDD. Jason Derulo f/Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign’s “Swalla” (Beluga Heights) has very quickly moved inside the Top 30; airplay, streaming and video views are all showing big increases as this one works it way to the Top of the Chart. Dua Lipa’s “Be the One” is now on almost 50 stations and is bubbling just under and looking to chart.

S-Curve’s David Nathan has AJR’s “Weak” is making it’s way up the chart pulling in airplay from 80+ stations including new adds from WXXL, WIOQ and WDCG. There’s also some big spin increases at KUDD, WNCI and KHTS. WDCG PD Chris Edge (left) says “This is a great infectious pop record. Excited to be playing it.”

Republic’s CW, Spangler & Russell are impacting Drake’s “Passionfruit” (YMCMB). With a #1 album on iTunes and #1 song on Spotify, this one is a no brainer for radio. The Weeknd f/Daft Punk’s “I Feel it Coming” (XO) is the oldest bulleted song in the Top 10 and continues to gain spins each week. Julia Michaels’ “Issues” is heading toward the Top 10, pulling in increases this week from KIIS, WKSC, WODS and KHFI after posting some great callout. Lorde’s “Green Light” (Lava) is approaching 50m Spotify streams and is now Top 20. Nicki Minaj’s “Regret in Your Tears” (YMCMB) debuts at #3 iTunes while pulling in WBMP, KQMV and WQMP and is now chartbound. Post Malone’s “Congratulations” is crossing from Rhythm; it’s Top 10 at Apple Music and Top 5 on album consumption charts.

Capitol’s Marella, Rainey & Siciliano have Katy Perry’s “Chained to the Rhythm” heading Top 5—it’s #3 Pop on iTunes, #8 global Spotify and #5 Pop BuzzAngle with 200m video views. Sam Hunt’s “Body Like a Back Road” is impacting this week at Pop; already on board early are B96, KVIL, WNKS and WKCI. It’s #2 on iTunes and #8 on BuzzAngle.

Def Jam’s Sackheim, Rothchild & Farag moved Big Sean’s “Bounce Back” (G.O.O.D.) Top 20 this week. After a successful #1 campaign at Rhythm and Urban, there are 130+ stations on board already at Pop. Axwell ^Ingrosso f/Kid Ink’s “I Love You” debuted at 36 and pulled in major market early believers WKTU, WPOW, WWPQ and KLIF. Iggy Azalea’s “Mo Bounce” is impacting top 40 4/10, but early commitments on the board come from WBMP, KMVQ, WNOW and WZPL.

Columbia’s Leipsner, Borris & Vaughan have moved The Chainsmokers’ “Paris” (Disruptor) Top 5 with a closed-out panel. All that’s left now are the increases to Power rotation, which are starting to stack up nicely. The Chainsmokers & Coldplay’s “Something Just Like This” continues to be one of the Greatest Gainers and is now heading Top 10. James Arthur’s “Say You Won’t Let Go” moves inside the Top 20 pulling in eight new adds including WRNW and WXSS. Calvin Harris f/Frank Ocean & Migos’ “Slide” is set to join the Top 10 and posted 17 new adds last week landing in the Most Added column. Train’s “Play That Song” should join the Top 30 next week with 110+ stations on board. Rag‘N’Bone Man’s “Human” has pulled in 45+ stations already and is climbing toward the chart. Early airplay believers include Z100, WIOQ, KSLZ and WRVQ.

Epic’s Team Glassman are set to move Starley’s “Call on Me” Top 20 this week. They have all but closed out the panel and the callout is starting to post so this one is on the rise. Future f/Rihanna’s “Selfish” (A1/Freebandz) scored new airplay last week from KRBE, WIOG, KSMB and WPXY and is thisclose to charting.
