AN AIMP TALE OF TWO CITIES
11/16/17

11/15 was a big night for the Association of Independent Music Publishers, with chapter events in New York City and Nashville. Nashville hosted the AIMP & SoundExchange Fall Party, while the first ever Guild of Music Supervisors Mixer took place in New York.

The fall party in Nashville celebrated AIMP's 40th anniversary and everything the Nashville chapter's been able to accomplish in 2017, the third annual AIMP Songwriters Series being just one of those.

Seen agreeing that they're entitled to one half of every tear in every beer are (l-r): Parallel Music Publishing's Tim Hunze, BMI's Leslie Roberts, AIMP Nashville Executive Director John Ozier of ole, AIMP Nashville Treasurer Ree Guyer of Wrensong Music, SoundExchange's Linda Bloss-Baum, Regions Bank's Brad Peterson and Big Deal Music's Dale Bobo. Later, Dale brought out Kenny MacPherson's sporran for show and tell.

In New York, the good people of AIMP brought together top music supervisors and members of each organization for a roundtable panel discussion featuring Todd Kasow and Music Supervisor Ruth Simmons, moderated by Ed Gerrard.
