WHAT IT IS: His 2015 single “Catch & Release” and its Deepend remix have proven this singer/songwriter’s got songs for more than one occasion. The remix hit #1 on Spotify’s viral charts in 10 countries, peaking at #16 on the global viral chart. It charted on iTunes in 43 countries, racked up 8m SoundCloud plays, reached Top 10 on the global Shazam chart, went gold in Holland and was added into rotation at SiriusXM Chill. Cumulative Spotify plays are at 52m+ and counting. Meanwhile, the aforementioned remix hit #1 three times on HypeMachine. As the track caught fire, Republic signed Simons and gave it a formal release.
