Production and DJ duo BICEP and their management team This Is Music will receive the Innovation Award at the upcoming Artist & Manager Awards in the U.K. YMU Group Music will take home the Team Achievement gong.
BICEP and This Is Music have been recognized for their work together across the last 10 years. This year the duo hit #2 on the U.K. charts with Isles, four years after breaking into the Top 20 with their self-titled debut album on Ninja Tune.
They also delivered two global live stream performances in collaboration with Black Box Echo, one of which took place in the Saatchi Gallery, selling thousands of tickets to fans from over 70 countries worldwide. The band received two BRIT Award nominations and sold out three Brixton Academy dates as well as headlined London’s Field Day festival in July.
This week, This Is Music has grown with the addition of artist manager and Ghost Promo co-founder Greg Wells and his artists Sofia Kourtesis and Logic1000.
YMU Group is being recognized for both the continued successes of its artist roster, which includes Take That, Clean Bandit, Years & Years, Friendly Fires, Jesy Nelson and James Arthur, and the leadership displayed by the company in areas including mental health provision and the championing of LGBTQ+ rights.
All winners will be recognized at a ceremony in London on 11/18.
