U.K. CHARTS: FONTAINES D.C. SCORE
4/29/22

Dublin-born band Fontaines D.C. claim their first-ever U.K. #1 on the Official Albums Chart with Skinty Fia (Partisan). Harry Styles’ “As It Was” has logged in a month at #1 on the singles chart.

The quintet outsold their closest competition 2:1 as physical sales accounted of the total making it the week’s top seller on vinyl.

Little Mix’s Between Us (RCA) greatest hits collection hits a new peak of #3 as they head out on their final tour. Spiritualized’s ninth studio album, Everything Was Beautiful (Fat Possum), lands at #5 and is right behind Skinty Fia on the Official Vinyl Albums Chart. Pusha T’s It’s Almost Dry (0207) hits #7, a new chart peak for the rapper.

The reissue of Brian May’s 1998 album Another World (Virgin) reaches a new peak, #14, while grime-punk duo Bob Vylan score their first-ever U.K. Top 20 with Bob Vylan Presents: The Price of Life (Ghost Theatre) debuting at #18.

On the Official Singles Chart, “As It Was” is once again the most-streamed track in the country with 7.2m streams. It appears, though, Harry’s got contenders to the throne approaching.

Cat Burns’ “Go” (Since 93/RCA) is up two places to a new peak of 3, while Bad Boy Chiller Boy’s “BMW” is back in the Top 10 at #7.

Potter Payper’s “Gangsteritus” (Def Jam) is the week’s big climber, rising 28 places to #12. It’s the first ever Top 20 hit for Potter and for featured artist Tiggs Da Author.

Ed Sheeran logs his 54th U.K. Top 40 entry today with “2 Step” f/Lil Baby (Atlantic) at #13. The Kid LAROI’s “Thousand Miles” (Columbia) at #21, is his fourth Top 40 hit.
