U.K. CHARTS: ROBBIE'S A CHAMP
9/16/22

With XXV (Columbia) topping the Official Albums chart, Robbie Williams has become the solo artist with the most U.K. #1 albums ever. Over on singles, Lewis Capaldi is on top.

With his greatest hits compilation, Williams claims his 14th solo #1 besting Elvis Presley who has 13. There’s only one other act with more: The Beatles have claimed 15 #1 albums.

Ozzy Osbourne has a career-best today as Patient Number 9 (Columbia) debuts at #2. Manic Street Preachers are also new in the Top 5 with a re-issue of Know Your Enemy (Sony Music CG) at #4. The AmazonsHow Will I Know If Heaven Will Find Me (Fiction) charts at #5.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles chart, Capaldi’s first single in nearly three years, “Forget Me” (Vertigo), is his third chart-topping hit with sales of over 56k.

Elsewhere, Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl” (Republic) rises one to #5, thanks to the arrival of its music video and Queens Remix version. Chris Brown has his first U.K. Top 10 single in two years, “Under The Influence” (RCA) at #9.

Three staples of the Official Afrobeats chart reach new peaks today: Burna Boy and Ed Sheeran’s “For My Hand” (Atlantic) is up two to #22; Oxlade’s “Ku Lo Sa – A Colors Show” (Epic France) jumps eight to #24; and Rema’s “Calm Down” (Interscope) cracks the U.K. Top 40 for the first time, flying 16 places to #35 following the release of a remix featuring Selena Gomez.
