U.K. CHARTS: SLIPKNOT SLIP AHEAD

Slipknot have beaten George Michael to the U.K. Official Albums summit today. Over on singles, Sam Smith and Kim Petras remain on top.

Slipknot have their third #1 with The End So Far (Roadrunner). The set finished just 340 chart units ahead of the reissue of George Michael’s Older (Sony Music CG).

The Snuts round out an all-new Top 3 with Burn the Empire (Parlophone).

Outside the Top 5, Craig David returns at #7 with 22 (BMG). The Yeah Yeah YeahsCool It Down (Secretly Canadian) is also new at #10.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles chart, “Unholy” (EMI) by Smith and Petras earned 6.6m streams this week to keep its place at #1 for a second week.

David Guetta and Bebe Rexha remain at #2 with “I’m Good (Blue)” (Parlophone).

This week’s highest new entry is Ed Sheeran’s “Celestial” (Atlantic)—the theme song to the upcoming Pokémon games Scarlet and Violet—at #6.

Reaching new highs are: Beyonce’s “Cuff It” (Columbia) at #10, “Psycho” (Atlantic) by Anne Marie f/Aitch at #12 and “For My Hand” (Atlantic) by Burna Boy f/Ed Sheeran at #19.
