U.K. MIDWEEKS: A VOTE FOR KENNEDY
11/21/22

Dermot Kennedy is set to claim his second U.K. Official Albums #1 with Sonder (Island). Over on singles, Taylor Swift's “Anti-Hero” (EMI) remains on top.

At the halfway point, Sonder has a lead of 12k sales ahead of its closest competition—Swift’s Midnights at #2.

Queen are also new, at #3, today with an eight-disc re-issue of ’89 album, The Miracle (EMI). The set joins a number of re-releases in the midweek Top 40, among them Michael Jackson’s 40th anniversary version of Thriller (MJJ) at #11.

Andre Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra are pacing for a #4 debut with Silver Bells (Decca) at #4, while Nickleback’s Get Rollin’ (BMG) is new at #5.

David Bowie could secure another posthumous Top 10 collection with the original soundtrack to new documentary, Moonage Daydream (Parlophone), by Brett Morgen, at #7.

Disturbed’s Divisive (Reprise) is also heading for a Top 10 debut at #8.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart, Swift’s “Anti-Hero” looks set to claim a fifth week at #1 on Friday.

Meghan Trainor’s “Made You Look” (RCA) is up one to #3 as “Psycho” (Atlantic) by Anne-Marie and Aitch also jumps one, to #6.

This week’s highest new entry is from London rapper Clavish, who joins forces with D-Block Europe for “Rocket Science” (Polydor), at #9.

Following the arrival of Sonder, Kennedy’s “Kiss Me” is up to #12 from #21. Stormzy’s “Firebabe” (Def Jam 0207) is also set to rise, up nine places to #17 midweek.
