A CELEBRATION FOR RAY MANZAREK
2/11/16

Robby Krieger and John Densmore, whose performances together have been a true rarity since The Doors disbanded in the mid-1970s, will share the same stage Friday (2/12) at a concert billed as A Celebration for Ray Manzarek at the Fonda Theatre in L.A.

Krieger, the Doors guitarist, and Densmore, the band’s drummer, will be joined by X’s John Doe and Exene—Manzarek produced their first four albums—Perry Farrell, Warren Haynes, Stephen Perkins and others.

Manzarek, who died May 20, 2013, would be turning 76 on 2/12.

All proceeds will benefit Stand Up to Cancer. The concert will also feature a silent auction that includes Doors memorabilia, original prints from Henry Diltz and Timothy White and a signed guitar donated by Krieger.

Jonathan Shank and Jeff Jampol are producing the show.

Krieger and Densmore last did a show at the L.A. County Museum of Art two years ago.
