Parker McCollum is the latest Apple Music Up Next artist. As part of the campaign’s short film, McCollum dives into working on a Texas ranch for his grandfather, his influences and more before inking his first record deal.
Also part of the Up Next promotion is a Jimmy Kimmel Live! performance on 11/23 and an interview with Apple Music Country’s Kelleigh Bannen, in which McCollum discusses his Gold Chain Cowboy album, being inspired by Pat Green, playing the Ryman and more.
After releasing 2015's The Limestone Kid and follow-up, Probably Wrong, Parker inked a pub deal with Warner Chappell Nashville in 2018 and a record deal with UMG Nashville in 2019. 2020 saw his platinum certified EP Hollywood Gold—the highest-selling debut country EP last year—which included his #1 single, “Pretty Heart.”
McCollum dropped his major label debut, Gold Chain Cowboy, earlier this year, becoming the top Country album in 17 countries on Apple Music. He also played his first sold-out show over the summer at Dallas’ Dos Equis Pavilion to a crowd of 20k fans and broke attendance records during his show at the Woodlands.
