CMT TO HONOR ALAN JACKSON
9/29/22

Country star Alan Jackson is set to be honored as CMT’s Artist of a Lifetime, presented by Ram Trucks, during the network’s Artists of the Year celebration this year.

Held at Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony, the event premieres on 10/14 on CMT and will honor Jackson as well as previously announced honorees Carly Pearce, Cody Johnson, Kane Brown, Luke Combs and Walker Hayes.

Additional honorees, performers and presenters for the 90-minute special will be announced in the coming weeks.

“I believe I’ve made more videos than just about anybody, and I know how important they have been in bringing my songs to life for the fans, so thank you CMT for all the years and for this sweet honor,” said Jackson. “I’m very proud.”

“We’re honored to recognize the incomparable Alan Jackson as this year’s CMT ‘Artist of a Lifetime.’ For more than thirty years, his traditional sound, iconic voice and beloved catalog of music has captivated audiences across the globe and his talent as a recording artist and songwriter are simply unmatched,” added CMT Producers.

Throughout his career spanning over three decades, Country Music Hall of Famer and Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee Jackson has earned 35 #1 hits, released almost 60 music videos and garnered nearly 60m in sales worldwide. He recently released his 21st studio album, Where Have You Gone, and is currently on his sold-out Last Call: One More for the Road tour.

Previous Lifetime honorees include Randy Travis, Reba McEntire, Loretta Lynn, Shania Twain, Kenny Rogers and Merle Haggard.
