FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES & APPLE MUSIC

The first Flipover Friday of 2022 is the Dawn of a new era for The Weeknd: Dawn FM (XO/Republic), his follow-up to the smash After Hours, is the top new arrival at iTunes and going strong at Apple Music.

Announced just five days ago, the album is #2 at iTunes and Apple Music despite the fact that no tracks were pre-released. (The clean version is #11 on the sales side).

The title track, “Gasoline” and “How Do I Make You Love Me?” are already in the Top 25 at Apple Music songs.

Back at iTunes, the second English-language album from American K-pop singer Eric Nam, There and Back Again (The Orchard), drops in at #5. NasMagic (Mass Appeal) appears at #6. RuPaul’s MAMARU (RuCo) drags in at #7 and Montana of 300’s Rap God (FGE) bows at #8.

Gunna’s DS4EVER (Young Stone Life/300), #10 at iTunes, is the top new arrival at Apple Music. It’s #1 on the albums side, with 12 of its tracks in the Top 15 at Apple Music.

TikTok sensation and former American Idol contestant Lauren Spencer-Smith opens in the Top 10 on both sides: Her Wednesday release, “Fingers Crossed,” is #2 in sales and #8 in streams.
