CHART FINAL: BLACKPINK TAKES IT

YG/Interscope quartet BLACKPINK has notched its first #1 on the HITS Top 50 with BORN PINK, which edged out Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti (Rimas) thanks to a late-week surge. “Blinks,” the K-pop stars' loyal fan cult, carefully watched the numbers all week and showed up to support Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa when it mattered most. BORN PINK tops the chart with 94,350—less than 1k units ahead of Bad Bunny.

Opening at #3 is another K-pop phenomenon, SM/Virgin septet NCT 127. The group has achieved its highest debut yet with 2 Baddies–The 4th Album, which posted 59k.

Also scoring Top 20 bows are CMG/Warlike/Interscope’s Est Gee (#8), Yellabush/ Columbia’s Koe Wetzel (#12) and Capitol’s FLETCHER (#16). Pink Floyd’s Animals (Legacy) soars to #14 due to the vinyl release of the 2018 remix of the iconic album.

Streeting this week are new titles from Supergiant/Def Jam’s Muni Long, Black River’s Kelsea Ballerini, Crush’s Weezer, Mercury Nashville’s Maddie & Tae and SCMG/Interscope’s DaBaby.

Now, if you’ll excuse us, we’re going to hit the drugstore and see what today’s vaccine is.
