BLANCO UPPED TO SVP AT VIRGIN'S SRG-ILS GROUP

Ra-Fael Blanco has been promoted to SVP of media relations and communications at Virgin Music-affiliated indie-services shop SRG-ILS Group. He'll report to General Manager Michael Cusanelli and founder/CEO Claude Villani.

Blanco, who previously served as SGR-ILS Group's VP of media relations, will continue to oversee PR for the company's many clients, including Chaka Khan, Brian McKnight, Erica Campbell, MaryMary, UB40 and Angie Stone.

Blanco's experience in the biz is vast. Over the last 25 years, he's held positions at Bad Boy Entertainment, LaFace Records and MTV Networks and Nickelodeon/Noggin. He's also the founder and CEO of 2R's Entertainment & Media PR, a division of The Blanco Agency. In his spare time, Blanco enjoys avoiding our calls.
