"SOLA" POWER

“Ella Baila Sola," Eslabon Armado’s rocket with Peso Pluma, has earned more than 500m Spotify streams in just under three months. A platform peak for both acts, the collaboration has spent 30 days at #1. The only song to enjoy a longer stretch atop the Spot's global chart this year is Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers” (Columbia).

“Ella Baila Sola" ("She Dances Alone")—along with David Kushner’s “Daylight” (Virgin Music), which has racked up 250m streams on Spotify in under two months—is ringing in Virgin Music Group's JT Myers/Nat Pastor era with a bang; the two companies operating independently under the VMG umbrella, Ingrooves and Virgin Music, have each launched giant global smashes by fresh talent (in different genres) this year.

While Eslabon Armado tops DSP charts in Latin territories and the U.S., Kushner's heater is Top 10 in the U.K., Canada, Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands and New Zealand, among other regions.

Rumors that JT and Nat are requisitioning a fleet of aerial balloons could not be confirmed at press time.
