TRAVIS SCOTT'S UTOPIAN DREAM
It's safe to say that Travis Scott's UTOPIA (Epic)—his first album since 2018's ASTROWORLD—has knocked it out of the park. The latest stats are in, and the 19-track effort is now the biggest rap release of 2023, with roughly 500k units moved its inaugural week. It's also the third-biggest album of the year.
Since its 7/28 release, UTOPIA has collected more than 650m streams globally. Apple Music announced that the LP had amassed the biggest first-day stream count of any album in 2023. Spotify seconded that assessment, reporting 128m streams—bigger than the first day of any other rap album in 2023.
Fans around the world experienced Scott's live performance at Rome's historic Circus Maximus Monday (8/7). The sold-out show moved roughly 60k tickets in just two days.
