Sony Music boss Rob Stringer is celebrating killer fiscal Q1 numbers, notably a revenue jump of 23% that has prompted a 3% upward revision of the company’s yearly forecast to $11.6b. Streaming subscription revenue drove the increases for both recorded music and publishing. All of which is pretty terrific news for the music-group topper, but he’s probably wondering how much it would cost him to get out of this HITS contents-page shout-out.
