A NIGHT AT THE MUSIC INNOVATORS GALA
6/4/18

On 6/3, Music City stars Kelsea Ballerini, Bobby Bones, Florida Georgia Line, Charles Kelley, Lucie Silvas, Striking Matches and Charlie Worsham made their way out to the Second Annual Innovation in Music Awards, hosted by Bill Werde, at the Westin Hotel in Nashville to honor and recognize some of the industry’s biggest risk takes and creative thinkers. The sold-out gala recognized "achievements in the advancement of music through inspiration and ingenuity."

Award winners included Monica Escobedo, Sally Williams, David Macias, Andrew Cohen and Jackie Tigue as well as a few who accepted their trophies by video link, notably Creative/Artist honoree Kenny Chesney and Impact in Innovation Award honoree, Joe Galante, who were both unable to attend. The biggest award of the night, Innovator of the Year, was taken home by Red Light Management head Coran Capshaw.

Florida Georgia Line, who presented the Innovation in Music, Digital Media/Marketing award to Spotify’s John Marks, also performed—as did Worsham, Silvas, and show closer Striking Matches.

“Innovators would always rather deal with unexpected failure, than to lose out on an opportunity for success on a game changing idea…they tend to be so driven…so determined…so talented that they impose their dreams on the market space and become a magnet for success!” Said awards founder, Pete O’ Heeron.
