YOUR RADIO CHART PREVIEW

What to Expect at Three Key Mediabase Formats

TGIF, buddy! In honor of Tove Lo’s single hitting #1 at Pop next week, we plan on “staying high” the whole weekend… and, yes, today counts. If you're not wasted, check out the rest of our predictions for the future of three key Mediabase radio charts.

TOP 40

We’ll have new #1 again this week, and for a third week in a row, that slot will belong to a Republic-affiliated artist. This time, Island/Republic’s Tove Lo will take top honors with “Habits (Stay High).” Currently, the battle for Greatest Gainer is between "Animals” by 222/Interscope’s Maroon 5 and "Blank Space" by Big Machine/Republic's Taylor Swift; both are sitting at 2500+ spins for the week as of now. Iggy Azalea f/MØ’s "Beg for It" (Grand Hustle/Def Jam), Ariana Grande & The Weeknd’s "Love Me Harder" (Republic) and Hollywood's surprise of the week, Selena Gomez’s "The Heart Wants What It Wants," are all big gainers at 1000+ spins. SYCO/Columbia's Ella Henderson will chart this week with her single, "Ghost," alongside and the aforementioned track from Selena Gomez.

RHYTHM

RCA's Chris Brown will hold on to #1 this week with "New Flame" f/Usher & Rick Ross, while Aftermath/Interscope’s Kendrick Lamar will move into the Top 5 with “i.” Rich Gang f/Young Thug & Rich Homie Quan’s "Lifestyle" (YMCMB/Republic), Big Sean’s "IDFWU" (G.O.O.D./Def Jam) and Jason Derulo’s "Trumpets" (Beluga Heights/Warner Bros.) will all have significant increases inside the Top 10. Meanwhile, Ariana Grande & The Weeknd’s "Love Me Harder" (Republic), I Love Makonnen f/Drake’s "Tuesday" (OVO/Warner Bros.) Iggy Azalea f/MØ’s “Beg for It” (Grand Hustle/Def Jam) will all be in the Most Increased column. Finally, look for RCA's Usher to debut with "I Don't Mind" f/Juicy J this week.

ALTERNATIVE

"Stolen Dance" by Republic’s Milky Chance will hit its ninth week as the #1 song in America. Columbia’s Hozier will remain solid at #2 with "Take Me to Church," which is set to battle with Foo Fighters’ fast-charging "Something From Nothing” (RCA), for the top spot in the weeks ahead. KidInAKorner/Interscope’s Imagine Dragons will make a big chart move, as "I Bet My Life" is prepared to jump #23-12. RCA's Walk The Moon will have a fine week with “Shut Up and Dance,” which is expected to increase over 100x and move #19-15. Interscope’s U2 should also see a 100x increase for the week with "The Miracle (of Joey Ramone)"; the group’s other track, "Every Breaking Wave," will make its chart debut at #31. Republic's Misterwives and their debut single, "Reflections," should also chart.
