WINTERLAND FILES FOR CHAPTER 11

Merchandising Leader Will Make Details Available On Rad New T-Shirt, Blacklight Poster
Merchandising giant Winterland, which hawks t-shirts and other items for everyone from the Backstreet Boys to Led Zeppelin, last week (1/2) filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

The filing marks the second time since 1997 that the San Leandro, California-based company has filed for bankruptcy protection. However, insiders report that this time the filing is more about cleaning its slate and that Winterland operations are stable.

No layoffs or branch closures will occur at the 300-employee-strong company, which also operates in Canada, Australia and Japan.
