Super-hot rapper Eminem is being courted to make his silver-screen debut in the next Denzel Washington thriller “Training Day,” reports Variety. Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow Pictures are wooing Slim Shady to play the villain in the flick, about a veteran Los Angeles Police Department cop (Washington) breaking in a rookie narcotics officer. This would be Eminem's first major feature-film appearance. No word about what producers plan to do when Em's mother and estranged wife sue him for his misuse of catered food on the set.
COURTNEY LOVE NOW WANTED BY PUBLISHING HOUSES
Your pal and mine, Courtney Love — whose band Hole has signed with Left Bank Management — is working on a book about her experiences in the music business for Regan Books. The book is expected to be out in April. Look for a chapter on dating musicians and executives.
TWO MORE NOW WANTED BY VMAs
Sisqo and Christina Aguilera have been added to the list of artists performing at the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. They will be performing separately, despite Sisqo's desire to get Aguilera to join him on "Thong Song." The Awards are Thur. Sept 7 at Radio City Music Hall. Also scheduled to perform are Blink-182, Britney Spears, DMX, Eminem, Janet Jackson, NSYNC, Rage Against the Machine, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Scottish Bagpipe Orchestra.
