XM NAMES JON ZELLNER SENIOR
VP MUSIC PROGRAMMING

Longtime Infinity Vet Beams up to
Satellite Radio
XM Satellite Radio has named respected programming veteran Jon Zellner to the newly created post of Senior VP Music Programming, reporting to Executive VP Programming Eric Logan.

Zellner will join XM from Infinity, where he has worked for nine years, most recently as VP Hot AC Programming and PD of WBMX and WODS Boston. In his new role, he'll focus on fine-tuning XM’s music product. His last day in Boston will be March 18, after which he’ll join XM in D.C. on March 28.

At Infinity, Zellner has overseen Hot AC stations in 17 cities, including San Francisco, Dallas, San Jose, Orlando, and Denver. In previous Infinity posts, he has served as VP of Top 40 Programming (overseeing stations in 11 cities) and VP Programming for a four-station cluster in Kansas City.

Said Logan of the appointment, "Jon will be a great addition to our talented programming team at XM. He has built an outstanding reputation in the radio industry for his leadership and vision in overseeing successful stations in a wide variety of markets."

Added Zellner, "The radio industry of today is very different than when I started in the business 18 years ago. While I think that there will always be room for local radio, XM has introduced technology and an innovative approach to music that are changing the way that people use our medium. I'm excited and honored to be a part of the amazing staff that XM has assembled. I can't wait to get started and help XM's music channels grow to new levels of success."
