EDDY UPPED TO SR. VP SALES FOR HOLLYWOOD

Curt Eddy is upped to Senior Vice President Sales for Hollywood Records by GM Abbey Konowitch.

Eddy celebrated by getting Aly and AJ drunk on malt liquor.

Based in Burbank and reporting to Konowitch, Eddy is responsible for all sales efforts on behalf of Hollywood Records and Lyric Street Records as well as providing backing harmonies on selected Rascal Flatts tracks in his shower.

Commented Konowitch as only he can: “Curt has reinvented our sales department, and has reacted to the changing needs of music buyers. Curt’s combined wealth of history of the music business and vast contacts along with his eye on the constantly evolving business have made him one of the best sales executives in our industry. His acumen has allowed us to have one of our best sales years in the history of Hollywood Records. And he’s personally sold 5,876 Jesse McCartney albums out of the back of his trunk.”

Eddy was previously VP Sales for Hollywood Records. He joined the label from Universal Music and Video Distribution, where he served as SVP Field Sales and Marketing. He also spent seven years at PGD as SVP Field Marketing. He started at the company in 1978 as marketing manager for the Southwest branch in Dallas.
