Linda Liker RIP

LINDA KOMORSKY LIKER, a renowned music publishing exec and veteran industry advisor, passed away on Sunday. She died as a result of a tragic accident, after being struck by a car while crossing the street. Over the course of her career, Liker served at Dimensional Music Publishing, Touchtunes, BMG Music Publishing, EG Music, and International Music Services. Over four decades, she worked with such renowned artists and songwriters as Graham Nash, Jennifer Warnes, Michael McDonald, Steve Miller, Randy Newman, Danny Elfman, Harold Faltermeyer and Sting, to name a few. A force in the male-dominated music publishing world, Liker was Past President of the Association of Independent Music Publishers and Past Secretary of the California Copyright Conference, and highly involved with music rights organizations and forums, including ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, MIDEM and NARM. Funeral services will be held at Hillside Memorial Park in Los Angeles today, at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda Komorsky Liker’s memory may be made to the IDF (Israel Defense Forces).
