YE JOLLY OLDE iTUNES U.K. CHARTS: Earlier this week, we made a big deal out of the fact that there were three compilation albums in this week’s Top 10. Welp, the iTunes U.K. chart has five albums credited to “Various Artists,” including something unusual these days—a rock collection, in this case the latter-day punk-pop comp Teenage Dirtbags. While we’re on the rock tip, we should also note that the pre-order for Taylor Swift’s 1989 has been chased off the leaderboard by buzzing rock duo Royal Blood, a WMG pickup. Taylor does rule the singles chart, however, as follow-up tracks from Kiesza and Sam Smith continue to move in a positive direction. We would’ve put Iggy Azalea in that last sentence, in in Britain, it looks like “Black Widow” will outsell “Fancy” when all is said and done. (8/22a)
