UK Top 10

NEVER MIND THE BOLLOCKS—IT'S THE U.K. TOP 10: The top three albums in the U.K. are the same this week as last week, although Sam Smith has moved ahead of Dolly Parton (whose improbable, Glastonbury-fueled run continues). Three debuts hit the big board on the Official Charts Company’s latest update: the latest from New Jersey’s own Gaslight Anthem (on Island in the U.S.), the third offering from former Britain's Got Talent finalists Richard & Adam (surname: Johnson) and a best-of from English-Irish girl group the Saturdays, who have yet to make a mark in the States.

1. Ed Sheeran, x (Asylum)
2. Sam Smith, In the Lonely Hour (Capitol)
3. Dolly Parton, Blue Smoke – The Best of… (Sony Masterworks)
4. Gaslight Anthem, Get Hurt (EMI)
5. Richard & Adam, At the Movies (Sony Music)
6. George Ezra, Wanted on Voyage (Columbia)
7. Paloma Faith, A Perfect Contradiction (RCA)
8. Paolo Nutini, Caustic Love (Atlantic)
9. OneRepublic, Native (Interscope)
10. Saturdays, Finest Selection - The Greatest Hits (Polydor)

Meanwhile, on the singles chart, “Am I Wrong” from WB’s Nico & Vinz held onto the top perch, while “Rude” from RCA’s Magic! Moved four slots to #2, pushing “Love Runs Out” from Interscope’s Republic to #3. “Giant in My Heart,” the follow-up to Kiesza’s massive “Hideaway” (an Island U.S. worldwide signing placed on Virgin U.K.), rocketed all the way to #4, followed by the also ascending “Ghost” from SYCO’s 18-year-old phenom Ella Henderson. That means the four top-selling singles in Britain were made by acts from Norway, Canada, the U.S. and Canada again. (8/18a)
