YOUR WEEKEND BOX OFFICE: 22 Jump Street may mock itself as a formulaic sequel, but there’s clearly joy in repetition. Sony’s Channing Tatum-Jonah Hill reunion enjoyed the second-biggest opening ever for an R-rated comedy this weekend, scoring a cool $60 million—a 65% improvement on the 2012 original. (The reigning champ among raunchy yukfests is still The Hangover Part II.) Another sequel, DreamWorks’ animated adventure How to Train Your Dragon 2, bowed in the #2 spot with $50m, a small gain on its predecessor. Fox’s The Fault in Our Stars dipped by more two-thirds in its second week; we’re not sure about its long-term prognosis.
