Irving buys half of a comedy company, inks Gwen

LEVITY ON THE LINKS: While chasing his Titleist around various royal and ancient courses in Scotland (see 6/10 item below), Irving Azoff somehow managed to close a deal for 50% of Levity Entertainment Group on behalf of Azoff MSG Entertainment. LEG encompasses a number of comedy venues, a comedy and reality TV production unit, a management division and online digital services. “We are thrilled to have LEG join the AMSGE family,” said Azoff, working his way through the alphabet. “You know how much I love to spend JD’s money.” Since Azoff and Dolan formed their JV last year, AMSGE has picked up chunks of Burns Entertainment, Pop2Life and Digital Brand Architects. And that’s not all, folks. Azoff also inked Gwen Stefani and No Doubt for management. That's some vacation. (6/11a)
