Stevenson tease

KILLER MOVE: During his 16 years as a major-label exec, Rob Stevenson has shown himself to be a top-notch old-school A&R man, making records—hit records, a bunch of them—and expertly connecting the dots in the creative sector behind the scenes at IDJ, Virgin (under less than ideal conditions) and, since 2011, Republic. The veteran’s latest exploit involves remaking Casablanca label into Republic’s EDM bastion. Today, Stevenson gets his reward, as Monte and Avery Lipman elevate him to EVP of the label. Read all about it in this morning’s lead story, which is filled to the brim with bursts of mutual admiration. (6/9a)
