Seligman named Prexy of Sony Ent.

ROLLING IN THE DEEP: Nicole Seligman is now worldwide. The President of Sony Corp. of America has been named President of Sony Entertainment, responsible for overseeing the finance, HR, legal and corporate communications functions of Sony Pictures, Sony Music and Sony/ATV, the struggling company’s bright spots. Seligman starts her new job on 6/19 and will continue to report to Sony CEO Kazuo Hirai, while in her entertainment role she’ll report to Sony Entertainment CEO Michael Lynton. She’ll work with Lynton to “develop overall strategy and growth opportunities, identify and implement efficiencies within and among the three Sony Entertainment companies, and expand the businesses' combined global footprint and influence,” according to Friday’s announcement.
