IT’S GOT A GOOD BEAT AND YOU CAN DVR IT: The iHeartRadio Music Awards scored a solid 1.7/5 in 18-49, with 5.4 million viewers overall to finish #2 for the night among the Big 4 in the key demo. According to NBC, the show matched the network’s top Thursday average of the season, excluding the Winter Olympics and The Sound of Music Live! And were +31% versus NBC’s non-sports season averages for Thursday prime time (1.7 vs. 1.3). Tellingly, the iHeartRadio telecast topped Fox’s sagging American Idol head to head in the 9-9:30 half-hour in adults 18-49, with a 1.7 rating vs. a 1.5, while more 18-49s tuned in after CBS’ Big Bang Theory ended at 8:30.
