Gary Haber, RIP

GARY HABER, a veteran business manager/CPA to the entertainment industry, died Monday at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles; he was 68. He opened his own Haber Corporation in the L.A. area in 1977, but acquired a sufficiently large number of country artists as clients to open a Nashville branch in 1990. He extended his services to the global market with Haber & Robertson International, which opened in the Loire Valley in 2000. Haber was also involved in a number of philanthropic efforts, including serving on the boards of ACM Shifting Lives (where he also served as president) and the TJ Martell Foundation; in lieu of flowers, his family requests contributions be made to these entities. Haber is survived by his wife, Sherri; children Katelyn, Lauren, Spencer and Randal; and grandchildren Brooklyn and Phoenix. Funeral services will be Friday, 4/11, at 2 PM at Mt. Sinai Memorial Parks and Mortuaries, 6150 Mount Sinai Drive, Simi Valley, CA 93063. (4/9p)
