Weekend sales bump - why?

JUST WONDERING (UPDATE): Columbia's Pharrell and Disney's Frozen remain in the #2 and #3 positions following leader Rick Ross (MMG/Def Jam/IDJ) on the HITS Building Album Sales Chart as we enter the home stretch, with debuts from Columbia's Lea Michele and Republic Nashville's Eli Young Band also looking to make their mark in the upper reaches of the chart. Keep refreshing as we near the finish line.

What caused the surge at retail this weekend, which drove up numbers across the board and puts Pharrell in the lead for the #2 spot on tomorrow's album chart? Was the Monday release a factor? Just wondering. Also of note: Pharrell's "Happy" continues to outpace the singles field by a greater than 2-to-1 margin. Speaking of "Happy," check out this cool cover version by Kina Grannis.
