Azoff MSG gets 50% stake in Pop2Life

IRVING ADDS MORE POP: Azoff MSG Entertainment (AMSGE) has purchased a 50% stake in experiential marketing/music agency Pop2Life (P2L), the New York-based firm that created the huge spinning LP atop the AMSGE-owned, refurbished Forum in L.A. The goal, according to today's announcement, is to provide "a one-stop shop for brands and artists looking for new ways to reach fans through powerful social experiences, stunts" and other branded promotions. AMGSE Chairman/CEO Irving Azoff called the deal "another key acquisition" for his company "in the marketing and branding space." P2L founder/CEO Eric Murphy, for his part, declared, "To be a part of Irving Azoff's next game-changing venture is honestly the best possible scenario for Pop2Life. I can't wait to start working on our skyscraper-sized Joe Walsh." P2L has helped tout events for iHeartRadio, HGTV, Luke Bryan, AMC's series Hell on Wheels and Michael Bublé, among others. (3/10p)
