AGBW You Oughta Know
WHY THEY OUGHTA: Black Magnetic/Epic’s A Great Big World has been tapped as VH1’s You Oughta Know artist for January, along with indie soul singer Russell Taylor (Indigo Blue). The emerging-talent showcase includes mondo spins, a custom promo spot and visibility on Top 20 Countdown, Big Morning Buzz Live and other platforms. “We couldn’t be happier with these outstanding additions to the franchise,” declared EVP Music and Talent Programming Rick Krim, who plans to get a perm so he’ll look like AGBW singer Ian Axel. The duo’s “Say Something” with Christina Aguilera is #3 on the iTunes singles chart as of this writing; their debut album, Is There Anybody Out There, streets on 1/21. (1/6p)
