SFX/CC partnership

LET US SPIN: SFX Entertainment and Clear Channel have inked a marketing and content pact based on EDM. The deal has sparked a national DJ/producer contest (in partnership with SFX-owned online outlet Beatport) that will air on Clear Channel stations and iHeartRadio's Evolution; the winner will get a spot at SFX's 2014 Memorial Day Mysteryland fest (on the site of the storied Woodstock festival) and deals with Beatport and "a major record label." Clear Channel stations such as Z100, KIIS-FM, WKSC, WILD 94.9, WIHT, WIOQ and Power 96.1 will also air Beatport's Top 20 countdown. Said Clear Channel's John Sykes, "The demand for electronic music continues to increase across all our platforms. Also, everyone at these EDM shows is so nice! Five people just told me how soft my hair is." In other Clear Channel news, the media giant's iHeartRadio digital-radio service will be integrated in the new Jaguar Land Rover, Volvo and Kia vehicles and will also be available via automotive tech provider Bosch.
